Free Dry Food Distribution and Health Camp by Citizen Centric Services during Rath Yatra
Date: 17.07.2024 – Puri:
On the occasion of the sacred Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, the Citizen Centric Services of the Council for International Education, Employment and Empowerment organized free dry food distribution, drinking water, and a health camp at Utkal Hindi School and Sri Jagannath Ballav Parking in Puri.
The health camp was conducted with the help of experienced doctors and nurses from KIMS, Bhubaneswar. Injured devotees in the crowded Bada Danda area received quality medical care at the Sri Jagannath Ballav Parking location. Free medicines were distributed for primary treatment of patients. Seriously ill devotees were also urgently transported via ambulance to the District Headquarters Hospital from Bada Danda.
Volunteers of the organization distributed biscuits, bottled water, juice packets, and glucose to devotees at both locations—Utkal Hindi School and Ballav Parking. The entire program was coordinated by Director Pradeep Tripathy and State Coordinator Padma Lochan Mahapatra.

KIMS Deputy Directors Vivekananda Mishra and Debashis Mohanty played key roles in the effective operation of the health camp. Volunteers Gautam Sahoo, Abinash Nayak, Bidyutprabha Lenka, Dumburu Raut, and Radhakrishna Mallik significantly contributed to the dry food distribution initiative.
This service program, aimed at assisting devotees, was carried out uninterrupted for four days including the first two days of Rath Yatra, Bahuda Yatra, and Suna Besha.
