Guru Puja Ceremony Organized by Former Students

Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit): On the occasion of the sacred Teacher’s Day (September 5), the former students of Surendra Nath Vidyapeeth, under Astaranga Block in Puri district, organized a Guru Puja ceremony at the premises of Raghunathjieu Math located in Hiradeipur.
Almost all former teachers of the school were honored by the ex-students through traditional offerings like incense (dhupa), lamps (deepa), flowers, and sandalwood paste during the ceremonial worship.
On this occasion, the teachers present paid tribute to the former President of India and renowned philosopher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and highlighted the significance of celebrating Teacher’s Day. They emphasized that teachers are the ones who guide students from the darkness of ignorance into the light of knowledge and wisdom, and thus deserve lifelong gratitude.
Former headmaster Ashok Kumar Maharana, Sampad Kumar Barik, Ramachandra Swain, Sushanta Kumar Parida, Pitabas Barik, Dillip Kumar Biswal, and Bichitrananda Pradhan shared their thoughts on the occasion.
The stage was hosted by Ullas Kumar Swain on behalf of the alumni, while Jayanti Swain, Reena Nayak, Basudev Behera, Narmada Biswal, Umakanta Sahu, Kedar Nath Jena, Smrutiranjan Raut, and Aditya Kumar Raut were among the notable attendees.
