This Time, Puri to Host a Grand Kumar Utsav with Participation of Bollywood Artists

One of Puri’s leading cultural organizations, Shrikshetra Yuva Sanskritika Sansad, will organize the 45th Kumar Utsav on October 16 and 17, at the Puri sea beach. This year, the festival will witness participation not only from local and state artists but also from renowned Bollywood singers and performers, making it a much-anticipated event.
In the lead-up to the main festival, a district-level inter-school competition was held on October 1 at Sanskriti Bhavan, Bankimuhana, involving hundreds of school students. Under the supervision of Sports Editor Saraswati Das, various contests such as solo dance (junior and senior), musical chair, and Voice of Kumar Utsav were successfully conducted. More than 500 students from different blocks of the district participated, showcasing their hidden talents.
The objective of organizing these competitions is to bring children’s creativity into the limelight and encourage them in their artistic pursuits. The top performers will be honored at the main Kumar Utsav event at the sea beach, as informed by General Secretary Alok Mahapatra and President Rajanikant Lenka.
The event was graced by Puri MLA Sunil Kumar Mohanty as the chief guest. Other dignitaries in attendance included President Rajanikant Lenka, former Councillor Bhaktacharan Das, Advisor Santosh Satapathy, Bijay Kumar Apat, Pradipta Kumar Mishra, Harekrushna Mishra, and Dolgobinda Mohanty.
Certificates were awarded to all participants of the competitions during the occasion. Key members who played important roles in the successful execution of the event included Amit Kumar Chatterjee, Jitendranath Dasmahapatra, Executive President Rajendra Narayan Harichandan, Assistant Sports Secretary Prashanta Muduli, Kripasindhu Mahapatra, Bikram Parida, Office Secretary Jagamohan Pattnaik, Executive Members Lakshminarayan Panda, Amiya Prasad Nag, Rudra Narayan Mishra, Abhinava Pradhan, Rajiv Rath, Manisha Mohanty, Sushree Sangeeta Mohanty, and Ritika Mohanty.
