Brahmin Community Angered Over Column Titled “Fire Beneath the Ashes”

A strong reaction has erupted within the Brahmin community following the publication of an article titled “Fire Beneath the Ashes” in the editorial section of the Dainik Khabar newspaper on the 24th of this month. The article, part of the regular column “From Dhenkanal to Dhingishala” by journalist and columnist Sambit Sahu, allegedly contained derogatory remarks and offensive language directed at the Brahmin community.
In protest, members of the Vedic Brahmin Parishad, Odisha, including Satyanarayan Tripathi, Balabhadra Das, Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Manoj Kumar Rath, Suryanarayan Rath, Harishankar Mishra, and Narayan Das, along with other Brahmin community organizations, submitted a formal complaint today at the Puri Town Police Station against columnist and journalist Sambit Sahu.
They warned the media that if no legal action is taken against Sambit Sahu, the entire Brahmin community across the state will take to the streets in protest.
