Donation Box Opened at Maa Mangala Temple

Today, one of the two donation boxes (hundis) at the revered Maa Mangala Temple in Kakatpur was opened.
The process took place in the presence of Mangala Temple Trust officials, local Tehsildar Ankita Anindita, Astaranga Tehsildar Priyanka Priyadarshini Pati, Kakatpur Police Station IIC Bijay Ketan Behera, Temple Executive Officer Kailash Chandra Das, Sevak Samiti President Manoranjan Panda, along with Pradeepta Dixit, Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Kamal Lochan Dixit, Anjan Kumar Dixit, other temple staff, and security personnel. The first hundi located inside the temple premises was opened during this gathering.
Following the opening, under strict security, the counting of the donated amount was carried out inside the temple office with the involvement of Sevak Samiti members, UCO Bank staff, two senior officials from the Tehsil office, and temple employees.
The counting process began at 10 AM and concluded at around 7:30 PM. A total of ₹21,2368 (Twenty-one lakh, two thousand, three hundred sixty-eight rupees) was collected from a single hundi, according to Temple Executive Officer Kailash Chandra Das.
Due to the late hour, the counting of loose coins could not be completed and will be resumed the following day. The collected amount will be securely deposited into the temple’s official account at the local UCO Bank, as informed by the Temple Trust.
