Festive Spirit Grips Patharapaka Village for Dhanalakshmi Puja
Kakatpur, 15/12 – In the village of Patharapaka under Kakatpur block of Puri district, Maa Dhanalakshmi Puja is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion under the organization of the Maa Batamangala Puja Committee. The festivities began on the 11th of this month with the traditional water collection ritual from the local Devi River ghat, accompanied by traditional music and the ringing of bells. As per rituals, the event commenced with Ankuraropan (sowing of sacred seeds), Surya Puja (worship of the sun), invocation of Maa Dhanalakshmi, and a sacred fire offering (Homayajna).
The celebration is scheduled to conclude on the 15th, as stated by the committee’s president, Dusasan Nayak (also known as Kunj Bhai). The main responsibilities of the event are being handled by Arup Nayak as the male coordinator and Ranjana Nayak as the female coordinator. Not just the village of Patharapaka but the entire surrounding region has been immersed in a festive atmosphere. The villagers are organizing and conducting the puja rituals with deep faith, devotion, and in a spiritually uplifting environment.
