National Ramayana Festival Celebrated in Puri

The National Ramayana Festival and the 76th birth anniversary of Jagatguru Ramanandacharya Swami Ramabhadracharya were celebrated at the Gobinda Godham Goshala in Alipada village under Goruuala Panchayat, organized by the Sri Ram Sundarkand Charitable Trust. The event was presided over by Pandit Bishnu Charan Pandaji Maharaj, the founder and editor of the trust.
Mahant Shubhananda Puri of Mahiprakas Math attended as the chief guest and praised Gobinda Godham Goshala, saying it has now emerged as a sacred pilgrimage site for cows (Gotirtha). He stated that sadhus and saints from across India now regard this goshala as a spiritual destination, and every villager in the area is a dedicated devotee of the cow. The presence of Jagatguru Ramanandacharya Swami Ramabhadracharya and various other saints at the goshala continues to inspire the community of cow devotees.
During the event, villagers from places like Sahajaanpur, Siaara, Keutakudia Pradhan Sahi, Bhubanpur, Jenapur, Sitalapada, Niajpur, Chandiput, Rameshwarpura, Alipada, and Ankipatana, who have been sheltering and protecting resting stray cows found along the National Highway in Brahmagiri, were honored collectively with the Go-Sevak Samman 2025.
Distinguished guests at the celebration included Dr. Sarat Kumar Behera, Chief District Veterinary Officer of Puri; senior temple cook-servitor Jhuna Dixit; Kanu Panda; Odisha State Head of the Cow Service Forum and chartered accountant Bijay Tibrewal; BJP State Mahila Morcha member Ranjita Padhi; Baba Krushnachandra Maharaj of Gobinda Godham; Goruuala Sarpanch Niranjan Mishra; Bhubanpur Sarpanch Amulya Pradhan; cow devotee Surendra Das from Jagatsinghpur; and advocate Snehashis Mohanty. They were all present as honored guests and felicitated the cow devotees.
