Rekha Gupta to Become New Chief Minister of Delhi
19/02/2025 (Saswat TV) – Rekha Gupta has been announced as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. She, along with six other members of her cabinet, will take the oath of office on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Ramlila Maidan.
Eleven days after the declaration of election results in Delhi, Rekha Gupta has been chosen as the new Chief Minister. In a meeting of the 48 newly elected BJP MLAs, her name was unanimously approved. Following this announcement, Rekha Gupta will meet Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena to formally stake claim to form the government.
Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan are underway with great pomp and grandeur. Three stages are being set up at the venue. The main stage will seat Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, and the new Chief Minister. The second stage is designated for spiritual leaders, while the third stage will accommodate Members of Parliament and MLAs.
It is estimated that over one lakh people will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Arrangements have also been made to distribute sweets to all attendees after the event.
The administration has taken special steps for this grand occasion, with heightened security arrangements in place to ensure safety and order.
