Annual Function Celebrated at Kishan Nodal Upper Primary School
Kanas, 07/03/2025: The annual function of Kishan Nodal Upper Primary School under Kanas block was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Eminent children’s writer Ramesh Chandra Das attended the event as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included Kanas Block ABEO Binod Kumar Sethi, State Award-winning Headmistress Durgabati Pradhan, President of the Kanas Block Primary Teachers’ Association Pratap Keshari Ray, and School Management Committee Chairman Shiba Prasad Baliyarsingh. The keynote speaker for the occasion was Ms. Krishna Kumari Mahapatra.
The event was presided over by Headmaster Prashanta Kumar Mangaraj, who is a recipient of the Chief Minister’s Award and the “Prakriti Mitra” Award. Teacher Charulata Dei introduced the guests, while the headmaster presented the school’s annual report. The audience, including the guests, was amazed to see every student being recognized on stage. It was discussed in the meeting that every child possesses some unique talent, and we must explore it to bring it out.
Keynote speaker Ms. Krishna Mahapatra emphasized the importance of both the school’s development and the academic growth of the students. Chief Guest Ramesh Chandra Das encouraged students to move forward with determination and expressed his hope that all children would become good individuals in the future.
Teachers Siddheswar Behera, Charulata Dei, and Mamata Murmu were honored with the Teacher’s Award. Arpita Samantsingha, who was the Best Student of the previous year, school champion Milan Baliyarsingh, School Cabinet Chief Minister Yashobanta Jena, and school cooks Pramila Mangaraj and Pramila Behera were also felicitated.
A total of 145 prizes were distributed by the guests. Students from various clubs and groups such as the Eco Club, House System, School Cabinet, Meena Manch, Science Club, and Literary Society received awards. The students also presented a variety of cultural performances during the event.
The stage was managed by senior teacher Pratap Kumar Das, while Siddheswar Behera offered the vote of thanks. Parents present at the function highly appreciated the event and expressed their admiration.
