1984 Batch Alumni Reunion of Binayak Dev High School

An alumni reunion of the 1984 batch of Binayak Dev High School, located in Naingaon village under Astarang block, was organized at the sacred premises of Pir Jahania Sahib. All former students from the 1984 batch, along with retired teachers and staff of the school, were invited to the event.

The program was presided over by former Headmaster Sharata Chandra Bishwal, while other former teachers were present on the stage. Before the formal proceedings began, a two-minute silent prayer was observed in memory of seven deceased former students.

The alumni recalled their memories and discussed the past environment and conditions of the school. The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia, and it became difficult for many to recognize each other after so many years. There were also discussions about their classroom memories, shared mischief, and incidents like bunking classes and playful punishments.

The reunion concluded with a community feast, where participants helped clean the Pir Jahania premises. Pradyumna Senapati was assigned the responsibility of reaching out to those batchmates who couldn’t attend, in preparation for next year’s gathering
