Grief Over the Untimely Demise of Apsara Swain
Khalikote, 04/01/24: A wave of mourning has swept across the village and among well-wishers following the untimely death of Apsara Swain, wife of former sarpanch Gaurishankar Swain of Mallikeshwar village under Khalikote block. A few days ago, Apsara Swain had fallen ill and was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for treatment.
Reportedly, while undergoing treatment at the hospital, she passed away at 8:00 AM on 04/01/24. At the time of her death, she was 80 years old. News of her demise spread quickly, casting a pall of sorrow over her native village. Villagers gathered to offer silent prayers for the peace of her departed soul.
During her last rites held at Swargadwar in Puri, local MLA Suryamani Baidya, Chitrasen Ghosh, and other dignitaries were present and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
