Senior Servitor of Maa Mangala Passes Away

Bipin Bihari Dixit, a senior servitor of Maa Mangala, passed away at the age of 71. He had been suffering from a brain-related illness for the past few days and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He breathed his last yesterday at around 12 noon.
The late Dixit was a pioneer in local transportation in Kakatpur, introducing auto-rickshaws and trekkers in 1970 to improve public mobility. He served Maa Mangala with devotion for many years as one of her senior servitors.
At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his family, including his eldest son Shaktikanta, youngest son Smrutikanta, and other sons Suryakanta, Chandrakanta, Saumyakanta, Umakanta, and Tripti Kanta. His mortal remains were taken in a large funeral procession to the village cremation ground, where the last rites were performed. His eldest son Shaktikanta lit the funeral pyre.
