Renovation Work of Mangala Temple to Begin Soon; Joint Meeting of Sevayat Appointment, Temple Administration, and Contracting Agency Held
Kakatpur, 18/9 – While the state government has announced the renovation of various mathas and temples under five different schemes, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and estimate for the renovation of Mangala Temple have been prepared. On Monday, a joint meeting was held at the office of the Mangala Temple Trust Board, involving temple trustees, sevayat appointments, and the contracting agency.
The meeting discussed how to expedite work on the temple’s kitchen, sevayat residential building, parking area, tonsuring house at Prachi Ghat, shops for Bhoga and Deepa (offerings), temple painting, temple repairs, and the construction of a welcoming gateway and park at the eastern entrance. OBCC Puri District General Manager S. M. Padhi and contractor Dipti Ranjan Mohanty briefed the attending administrative officers and sevayat staff about the work plan.
It was informed by the contractor’s representatives that work would first begin with demarcating all surrounding areas outside the temple.
Present in the meeting were local Tehsildar and Temple Trustee Biranchi Narayan Behera, BDO Tushar Jyotiranjan, Kakatpur Police Station IIC Umesh Chandra Sahu, Chief Medical Officer of Bangurigaon Medical Ashish Kumar Mahapatra, Temple Executive Officer Kailash Chandra Dash, President of the Sevayat Body Manoranjan Panda, Secretary Pavitra Kumar Dixit, Vice-President Kamal Lochan Dixit, Advisors Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Himanshu Bhushan Dixit, Pradeep Kumar Panda, Pavitra Mohan Dixit, Hemanta Kumar Padhi, and Manas Kumar Dixit, among others.
