Members of Odisha Temple Sevayat Association Meet 5T Chairman and Extend Gratitude
Bhubaneswar, 24.11.23 (Singhari Alok Khuntia) – Today, members of the Odisha Temple Sevayat Association paid a courtesy visit to 5T Chairman V.K. Pandian at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhubaneswar.
Temples in the Hindu religion are seen as symbols of our cultural identity. Formed with representatives from the major temples across all districts of Odisha, this association met with the 5T Chairman to express their gratitude to the State Government for initiating development work for the state’s prominent temples. They also acknowledged the government’s support under the “Mo Odisha, Naveen Odisha” scheme, which has provided financial assistance for the renovation and development of smaller temples in rural areas. This initiative, they stated, has helped establish a new and unique identity for Odisha on the national stage. On behalf of all the sevayats in the state, they extended heartfelt thanks to the government.
The sevayats expressed their happiness over the 5T Chairman’s consistent focus on temples during his district tours. They appreciated his prioritization of temple-related issues and for fulfilling the expectations of sevayats beyond what they had hoped for. A wave of joy has spread across the sevayat community as a result.
During the meeting, the 5T Chairman also discussed plans for the grand inauguration of the upcoming Shree Mandir Parikrama (Puri Temple Heritage Corridor) project. He shared his vision of making the event a magnificent one and sought the full cooperation of the Odisha Temple Sevayat Association in the successful execution of the ceremony.
Attending the meeting were several key representatives from various temples across Odisha, including Kameshwar Tripathi from Baripada Jagannath Temple, Singhari Alok Khuntia from Sakhigopal Temple, Debi Pani from Biraja Temple, Subash Mishra from Satyabadi Gopal Temple, Nilamani Suar from Alarnath Temple, Gada Nana from Akhandalamani Temple, Punyaslok Nanda from Nilagiri Jagannath Temple, Ranjit Mahapatra from Shiruli Mahaveer Temple, Surya Narayan Panda from Kakatpur Temple, Bapuji Rana from Tara Tareni Temple, Ranjan Panda from Maninaga Temple, Maharudra Jha from Ram Mandir, and Sai Ram Gandhi from Benu Pada Matha, among others.
