Kakatpur Government High School Transformed into 5T Model, Shines Brightly
Kakatpur, 29/4 – Among the 53 schools in Puri district that have been transformed under the 5T initiative, the historic Kakatpur Government High School, established in 1945, has now gained official recognition as a 5T school. This transformation has ignited a wave of enthusiasm and fresh hope among local residents and parents. The belief is: “Everyone will study, everyone will progress.”
The school has been revamped with new infrastructure, vibrant classrooms, and beautiful surroundings adorned with colorful flowers and lush green lawns, enhancing the environment. The transformation has significantly boosted the morale of the students. Parents have expressed that if focus is also given to the quality of teaching, the school, which once held a prestigious position across Odisha, could regain its former glory.
The transformation of the school was inaugurated via video conference by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik himself. This event brought joy and celebration among the local community, including parents, teachers, and students. During the video conference, the Chief Minister stated that the success of students is the success of Odisha, and all possible efforts are being made to provide children with every facility they need.
Thanks to the efforts of local MLA and State Home Minister Tusharkanti Behera and Puri Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Swadhin Kumar Nayak, the school received 5T recognition. The residents of Kakatpur expressed their gratitude to the minister for his dedication.
Under the supervision of local BDO Dr. Tushar Jyoti Ranjan and in the presence of engineer Prachi Pragnya Sahoo, the transformation work was completed. During the inauguration, several dignitaries were present, including Headmaster Pratap Kumar Rout, Assistant Teacher Pitabas Dixit, School Chairman Dhiren Chand, Sarpanch Abhaya Kumar Sethi, Zilla Parishad Deputy Chairperson Sanyukta Dixit, Satyanarayan Sethi, Prabhati Dixit, all members of the school management committee, panchayat representatives, parents, teachers, and students.
