A tribute ceremony for Kumar Kabi held in Puri
A state-level tribute ceremony was recently organized in honor of Kumar Kabi Arakhita Pradhan at the Puri Sanskruti Bhavan by the Kumar Kabi Foundation and Odisha Sahitya Akademi. The event marked the 13th memorial observance for the revered poet.
Prominent personalities such as former ministers Shri Sanjay Kumar Das Burma and Prasad Harichandan, along with renowned sculptor Padma Shri Prabhakar Maharana, attended the ceremony. They paid their respects by lighting ceremonial lamps and offering floral tributes before the portrait of Kumar Kabi.
Eminent poet, dramatist, and literary figure Dr. Harihar Mishra was honored with the “Kumar Kabi Samman” award. In addition, the book Sriraghunatha Charitamrita was officially released during the event. Many other distinguished individuals were also felicitated for their contributions.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of students, educators, intellectuals, and numerous admirers of Kumar Kabi Arakhita Pradhan.
