Kakatpur, 25/12: A media training program was organized at the Kakatpur Ashram by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. Senior media representatives from Astaranga and Kakatpur blocks attended and actively participated in the discussions.
The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Brahma Kumari Chanda, the media coordinator from the Mount Abu headquarters. The discussion circle featured notable participants such as BK Ravi Narayan, Sub-Zone Coordinator from Puri, BK Sarala from Hyderabad, BK Shantanu, the Media Head, Rajyogi BK Ram Swaroop, and BK Kuntala, the head of the Kakatpur center. The speakers focused on the inclusive and non-discriminatory values of the Brahma Kumaris, highlighting the organization’s spiritual legacy spanning 86 years with branches in 140 countries worldwide. They offered insights on how individuals can lead meaningful and positive lives through spiritual discipline and awareness.
They also emphasized that journalists should practice selfless service, report truthfully, and remain unbiased. They urged the media to sharpen their pens with integrity and to guide society in the direction of truth without bowing to any external pressure.
Veteran journalists such as Dushasan Nayak, Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Prashant Jena, Shankar Prasad Das, Akshay Raut, Sarat Kumar Das, Manas Kumar Samal, Subhadrshan Mishra, Niranjan Das, Loknath Swain, Trilochan Behera, and Sobhakar Behera were present at the event and enriched the discussion with their contributions.
