Eye Flu Spreading Rapidly, People Concerned
The changing environment in Kakatpur in recent days is causing distress among people. Now, eye flu is spreading across the entire state. People of all ages, from children to the elderly, are getting infected. Earlier, when someone caught eye flu, simple home remedies like applying a cloth soaked in turmeric water would gradually cure the condition. But those days are gone now, and traditional home treatments are no longer used. In today’s modern era, even with the slightest symptoms, people rush to hospitals.
Due to the absence of an eye specialist in the Kakatpur hospital, people are facing difficulties and are forced to visit private clinics to buy medicines. Previously, when someone suffered from eye flu, free eye drops were available at government hospitals. But now, even after spending money, people are unable to find those drops outside.
This condition is especially troubling for children, forcing them to skip school and tuition. Their eyes are becoming swollen, painful, and teary, accompanied by burning sensations, making it hard to keep them open.
Usually, such outbreaks are common during the onset of the monsoon season and are often linked to changes in weather and climate. People believe that if the government ensured that all hospitals had adequate stock of eye drops and distributed them for free, many people would benefit.
