The 28th Annual Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival 2022 was celebrated at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar.
During the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Samman 2022 celebration ceremony, the artists of the institution “Srjan” performed the Odissi dance presentation “Ravan”, choreographed by Guru Ratikant Mohapatra.
Among the distinguished guests addressing the audience on the concluding evening of the 28th Annual Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival 2022 were Shri Siddhanta Mahapatra (renowned film actor and former MP), Shri Ashok Kumar Tripathy (former member, Board of Revenue, Odisha), and Shri Balwant Singh, Director of OMC.
The Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Samman 2022 was awarded to Shri Niranjan Rout and Shri Ramahari Das for their unparalleled contribution and lifetime achievement in the fields of Odia dance and music respectively.
This year, Geetanjali Acharya and Shri Mitra Prasad Das were honored with the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Pratibha Samman in recognition of their inspiring performances and dedication to the arts, in the fields of Odia dance and Odissi music (vocal) respectively.
