Entire Kakatpur in Mourning Over the Passing of Governor Awardee Teacher
Kakatpur is in deep sorrow today after the demise of Hrushikesh, a respected member of the Kakatpur Sevayat family. He had been bedridden for the past few days and suddenly developed severe breathing complications. He was rushed to Charichhak Health Centre in an ambulance, where the doctors declared him dead. He was 80 years old at the time of his passing.
He began his teaching career in Haldia near Khordha and later served at Madhipur Primary School in Pipili, Bajpur School, and finally as the headmaster of Kakatpur Primary School. He brought pride and honor to Kakatpur by being awarded the Governor’s Award for his distinguished service in education. Throughout his career, he educated countless students, many of whom went on to hold prestigious positions. He always took great pride in the success of his students.
The sudden news of his death left the entire town of Kakatpur in shock. Well-wishers rushed to his residence upon hearing the news. Zilla Parishad member Sanyukta Dixit paid her last respects. His mortal remains were taken in a procession around the village before being cremated at the village cremation ground.
The funeral procession witnessed the presence of many intellectuals, former students, and notable locals, including Sevak Samiti President Manoranjan Panda, Jameswar Dixit, Himanshu Bhushan Dixit, Chittaranjan Panda, Debaraj Dixit, Dushmanta Dixit, Abhiram Dixit, Sarpanch Abhaya Kumar Sethy, Debashish Dixit, Benudhar Suar, and Sapani Panda. His eldest son, Sabyasachi Dixit (Chiku), performed the last rites.,
