Family Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday by Organizing Blood Donation Camp
Kakatpur, 29/03 – In a heartwarming gesture, the family of youth social worker and journalist Aditya Raut from Jiunti village in Kakatpur, Puri district, has earned much appreciation by celebrating their daughter’s birthday through a noble cause – organizing a blood donation camp.
On the occasion of his only daughter Abhilipsa’s 14th birthday, Aditya and his family, in collaboration with Jahan Public School and leading local volunteer organization Gopabandhu Yuba Samajika Sangathan, organized the blood donation camp in the premises of Jahan Public School in Kakatpur.
A total of 25 volunteers from both the institution and local community donated blood voluntarily and offered blessings to young Abhilipsa. The initiative was aimed at ensuring that no patient suffers due to the shortage of blood. Kakatpur Press Club President Kamal Lochan Dixit remarked that this effort by Aditya and his family will serve as an inspiration to others.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Kakatpur Police Station IIC Priya Ranjan Nayak. Also present were Sumitra Ghosh (Director, Jahan Public School), Mamata Mahapatra (Chairperson), Niranjan Biswal (President, Gopabandhu Yuba Samajika Sangathan), Tushar Ranjan Dixit (Vice-President, Kakatpur Press Club), Akshaya Raut (Editor), Sanjay Kumar Pati, Pradeep Kumar Panda (Treasurer), Lokanath Swain (Editor, Astarang Press Club), Niranjan Das (Advisor), Samir Kumar Kar (Treasurer), and other social workers including Pinkan Parida, Mangaraj Ojha, Nrusingha Charan Behera, Pradeepta Kumar Dixit, Kartik Chandra Sahoo, Debadatta Biswal, and Rupesh Sahu. Media representatives from various outlets were also in attendance.
A team of five doctors and support staff from the Kendrapara Red Cross Society collected the donated blood.
