Mourning in the Region Following the Demise of Senior Advocate and Maa Mangala Temple Servitor
Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit), 17/12/2023 – A wave of mourning has swept across Kakatpur following the demise of Ashok Kumar Dixit, a senior advocate of the Kakatpur Tehsil and a servitor of Maa Mangala. He passed away late last night at his residence. At the time of his death, he was just 57 years old.
Present beside him in his final moments were his two daughters, widowed wife, younger brother, and sons-in-law. Ashok Dixit was known to be a gentle-spoken, kind-hearted, well-versed legal professional, and a cheerful, sociable personality.
News of his death quickly spread, prompting many lawyers and prominent locals to gather for a last glimpse and pay their final respects. Among those who paid floral tribute were senior Kakatpur Bar lawyers Ashok Das, Trinath Raut, Dillip Biswal, Laxmikant Satapathy, and advocate Niren Prasad Mohanty, among others.
His last rites were conducted at the village cremation ground, with his grandson Nihar and daughters Ananya and Aosurya performing the final rituals. Family members including younger brother Pradeepta, Prachi organization president Debaraj Dixit, Pramod Kumar Dixit, committee member Samarendra Dixit, and Prabhat Dixit were present at the funeral.
His death has created a somber and sorrowful atmosphere throughout the region.
