105th Birth Anniversary of Maharshi Mahesh Yogi Celebrated at Puri Gobinda Godham
Devotees Take a Pledge for Cow Protection
Puri — The 105th birth anniversary of Maharshi Mahesh Yogi was celebrated at Gobinda Godham Goshala in Alipada, managed by the Shri Ram Sundarkand Charitable Trust. The event was organized under the leadership of Maharshi Mahesh Yogi’s direct disciple, Pandit Bishnu Charan Panda Ji.
The chief guest of the function was Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shankarananda Saraswati Ji, President of the Shree Jnaneshwar Math Trust, Mumbai. Dr. Ram Charan Das Ji, the head priest of the Nebal Das Math, attended as a distinguished guest. Both dignitaries shed light on the life and teachings of Maharshi Mahesh Yogi.
In his presidential address, Pandit Bishnu Charan Panda stated that in various parts of India, Brahmins are engaged in Vedic chanting, and Maharshi had trained children from all castes in Transcendental Meditation, bringing the message of peace and happiness to humanity. His followers are present not only in India but across France, London, Holland, Europe, America, and other countries.
He emphasized that if Brahmins follow the ideals and discipline taught by Maharshi, India can undoubtedly reclaim its status as the spiritual teacher of the world.
At the event, a Guru Pujan was performed by Dilip Khandelwal from Bhubaneswar and Ramesh Kumar Phufliya from Hyderabad. A 1008 Gopal Sahasra Nama Yajna was conducted by Vedic Brahmins, and the devotees present took a solemn pledge for the protection of Gomata (Mother Cow).
