Ashtam Prahar and Naam Yajna Held in Jamara Village

A grand three-day Ashtam Prahar Naam Yajna and Mahotsav was held in Jamara village, near Balidokan, under Kakatpur block. The sacred event was organized at the peeth (shrine) of the village deity Maa Dulladei, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami.
On the first day, during the Adhibasa (inaugural ritual), villagers and women conducted worship and Homayajna, followed by a grand 108 Kalasha procession, with sacred pots brought from Dakshineswar Peeth.
On the day of Shri Ram Navami, continuous Ashtam Prahar Naam Sankirtan (eight-session devotional chanting) was conducted. The final day featured Nagar Sankirtan (street chanting) and the celebration of the Yamuna Gadhua Mahotsav (symbolic bathing in the Yamuna River).
Around 10 Sankirtan groups from nearby areas participated, filling the environment with spiritual fervor and spreading divine energy through their devotional chants.
The event was successfully organized with the support of the village committee, including Chairman Shri Jagabandhu Biswal, Secretary Anupam Khatoi, Purnachandra Biswal, and active participation from all villagers.
