Senior Congress Leader Passes Away
Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit), Date: 09/07 — Senior Block Congress leader Jayakrishna Bishwal of Kahala (Ismailpur) village under Kakatpur Block passed away at the age of 74 on Saturday evening at 7 PM at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. On Saturday morning, he experienced chest pain, following which his family members immediately took him to Capital Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away while undergoing treatment there. At his deathbed were his wife, elder son Tanmay, younger son Jitendra, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
Following the news of his demise, several senior leaders of Block Congress, Congress MLA candidate Bishwabhushan Das, District Congress Youth Secretary Soumyakanta Khuntia, Avadhuta Swain, Bipin Bihari Mohanty, and others visited to pay their last respects and extended condolences to the bereaved family. The late Bishwal was well-known in the region as a soft-spoken and philanthropic individual.
His mortal remains were taken in a grand funeral procession around the village and the last rites were performed at the village cremation ground. His elder son Tanmay Bishwal and younger son Jitendra Bishwal lit the funeral pyre in the presence of well-wishers, friends, relatives, and close associates who offered their floral tributes. His passing has cast a shadow of sorrow across the entire region.
