Two Thieves Arrested in Two Theft Cases, Stolen Items Recovered

Two notorious thieves who had recently stolen furniture from the Fakir Sahi Sub-Health Center under Kakatpur Police Station, as well as committed a burglary at a local resident’s house in the same village, have been apprehended. Kakatpur police conducted raids at various locations and successfully arrested the two culprits.
The accused have been identified as Pabani alias Pabitra Kandi and Ashok Kandi, both residents of Bodala village under the jurisdiction of Kakatpur Police Station. After their arrest yesterday, police seized stolen items from their possession including batteries, an inverter machine, chairs, and a refrigerator.
Police investigations have revealed that these individuals have connections with major dacoits operating in places like Charichhak, Nimapada, and other parts of Puri district, and have been involved in multiple robbery incidents.
A case has been registered against them under sections 331, 305, 317, 3(5), and 317(2) with case number 115/202. Both the accused have been forwarded to court. Kakatpur Police Station IIC Vijay Ketan Behera confirmed that further investigation is currently underway.
