New Police Stations Inaugurated in Balanga, Astaranga, and Delang of Puri District by Chief Minister

On the evening of December 16, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, while attending the 69th Police Duty Meet 2024 in Cuttack, virtually inaugurated three newly constructed, state-of-the-art police station buildings in Delang, Balanga, and Astaranga blocks of Puri district from the Reserve Police Ground in Cuttack.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the evolving tactics of criminals and stressed that the police must always stay one step ahead of them.
At the Delang police station premises during the virtual inauguration, dignitaries present included Puri District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, SP Vineet Agrawal, SDPO Biranchi Narayan Pati, local MLA Ashrit Pattnaik, and hundreds of local residents. In his address, MLA Ashrit Pattnaik discussed how the police can improve their service to the public, and SP Vineet Agrawal encouraged citizens to always consider the police as friends and extend their cooperation.
At the inauguration ceremony of the new Balanga police station building, notable attendees included Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida, Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra, Central Range IG Charan Singh Meena, Pipili, Nimapada, and Satyabadi Block Development Officers, Pipili SDPO Biranchi Narayan Pati, RI of Puri, and the Balanga IIC. MLA Om Prakash Mishra urged that police personnel should treat every visitor to the station with dignity, promptly act on their complaints, and ensure justice is served swiftly.
Similarly, at the Astaranga police station premises, the chief guest was Jagatsinghpur MP Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Tarai. Other guests of honor included Kakatpur MLA Tushar Kanti Behera, Puri Additional SP Bishnu Prasad Pati, Astaranga Tahsildar Priyanka Priyadarshini Pati, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Arati Nayak, BDO Sasmita Behera, and Nimapada SDPO Prabhat Mallick.
