General Assembly of Nayagarh District Journalists’ Association Held

The General Assembly of the Nayagarh District Journalists’ Association was held on Sunday at Budhijhari Shalabani near Panipoila in Nayagarh. The meeting was presided over by association president and social worker Pramod Pattnaik.

Distinguished guests on the dais included senior Zilla Parishad member Rameswar Satapathy, executive president Purushottam Mahapatra, senior journalists Adarsha Pattnaik, Nishikanta Rath, Prabhakar Shiromani, and journalist Subas Mahapatra, among others.

A major resolution passed at the assembly was the decision to celebrate the association’s Silver Jubilee in April with a three-day event. During the meeting, members expressed their support for releasing a commemorative souvenir to mark the occasion.

Various officials of the association shared their views and proposed forming a committee to manage and coordinate the planned programs for the jubilee celebration. The discussion also focused on organizing the events in a collaborative and well-structured manner.

More than a hundred journalists from the district headquarters and various blocks participated in the session. Notable attendees included journalists Bhawani Singh Samant, Prakash Pani, Shishir Sahu, Kishore Rautray, Prabhasini Nanda, Deepak Kar, Satyanarayan Mishra, Jayendra Behera, Santosh Kumar Sadanangi, and Udit Narayan Dash.
