Final Evening of Maa Mangala Mahotsav: Audience Mesmerized by Abhijit Majumdar’s Music
Kakatpur, 17/03 – (Tushar Dixit): The three-day Maa Mangala Mahotsav held at the High School grounds in Kakatpur, Puri district, concluded with great enthusiasm. On the final evening of the celebrations, several notable dignitaries attended the event including local MLA and former Minister as well as Committee Chairman Er. Tusharkanti Behera, Vice President of Puri Zilla Parishad and Committee Secretary Swadhin Kumar Nayak, and renowned educationist and Working President Swapneswar Sahu.
Renowned music director Abhijit Majumdar and his group delivered a soulful performance of music and dance, captivating the large crowd. The event was coordinated by educationists Pratap Kumar Raut and Shobhana Mishra. Throughout the three-day festival, thousands of visitors enjoyed the festivities.
During the closing ceremony, Maa Mangala Samman was conferred on Pandit Ramachandra Dixit, Sardar Gatikrushna Swain Samman was presented to Dr. Bharat Panda, and the Padma Shri Guru Gangadhar Pradhan Memorial Award was given to Gotipua dance guru Lingaraj Barik.
Distinguished guests in attendance included former Zilla Parishad President Jottrimaya Dalai, Kakatpur Sevak Samiti President Manoranjan Panda, Nirod Baran Mohanty, Himansu Bhusan Dixit, Samarendra Dixit, Pradipta Kumar Dixit, Tapan Kumar Dixit, Dipti Mohanty, Hrudananda Shashamal, Anil Kumar Dixit, Gyan Ranjan Sahu, journalist Prashant Jena, and representatives from all local business organizations including their presidents and secretaries.
The festival, attended by around 15,000 to 20,000 people, concluded peacefully and in an atmosphere of devotion and cultural unity.
