Massive Show of Strength by Satyabadi BJP with Thousands of Party Workers
11.12.23 (Satyabadi – Singhari Alok Khuntia): In a powerful protest against the state government, the BJP staged a “Jan Aakrosh” demonstration in front of the Satyabadi Block office in Puri district. Under the leadership of Satyabadi Block BJP leader Om Prakash Mishra, thousands of BJP workers participated in the protest.
The demonstration began with a procession from Bakul Bana near Satyabadi, which marched through Satyabadi Bazaar and culminated in a large-scale protest in front of the block office. The BJP strongly targeted the state government over multiple issues such as corruption in PDS (Public Distribution System), irregularities in housing schemes, mismanagement in Mission Shakti group selections, irregularities in ration distribution and subsidies, among others.
The party also raised allegations that due to the long-standing absence of government officials in their respective offices, common people are being deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes. Former State BJP President Sameer Mohanty, Puri District BJP President Ashrit Pattnayak, BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar, and National BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra were among the key leaders who attended the protest.
They delivered sharp criticism of the state government and asserted that the public’s frustration would be reflected in the form of votes in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
