Renowned Social Worker Manoj Rath from Satyabadi Joins Congress

Today, at the Congress Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, renowned social worker from Satyabadi, Shri Manoj Rath, formally joined the Indian National Congress. Manoj Rath, the son of senior BJP leader and former MLA candidate Shri Bishwanath Rath, entered the Congress party in the presence of over a hundred supporters, Satyabadi and Kanas block presidents, and Shri Prasad Harichandan.
In recent years, Manoj Rath has become a beloved figure in the Satyabadi and Puri regions for his exemplary contributions to social service. Through his organization “Utkal Vidyut Parishad,” he distributed ration kits to thousands of people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he has organized free sacred thread ceremonies (Brataghara) for hundreds of Brahmin children each year, distributed blankets during winter, and provided food supplies during various festivals, earning him widespread recognition.
With his entry into the Indian National Congress, there is growing speculation and discussion that he will now take an active role in politics moving forward.
