Minister Tusharkanti Files Nomination After Seeking Blessings of Maa Mangala
Kakatpur, 13/05 (Tushar Dixit): Tusharkanti Behera, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Home, filed his nomination as the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate from the Kakatpur Assembly Constituency in Puri district on Monday. Accompanied by thousands of supporters, he first sought the blessings of the presiding deity of Kakatpur, Maa Mangala, before submitting his nomination papers at the office of the Additional District Collector in Puri.
Prior to this, the minister also paid a visit to his village deity, Maa Basulei, in Balidia village under Nagar Panchayat of Astaranga block. After the darshan, he reached the Kakatpur Trust Office, where a massive rally of BJD supporters had already begun. The rally, comprising thousands of bikes and four-wheelers, was joined by Puri Zilla Parishad Vice President and BJD State General Secretary Swadhin Kumar Nayak, former Puri Zilla Parishad President Jyotirmaya Dalai, Kakatpur Block BJD President Pranakrishna Mallik, Himanshu Bhushan Dixit, Tapan Kumar Dixit, Pradipta Kumar Dixit, Manas Kumar Dixit, youth leader Biswajit Das, and Shivaprasad Patra, among others. The rally made its way toward Puri in a grand and spirited procession.
On the occasion, Minister Behera expressed his faith in the blessings of Maa Mangala and thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for once again entrusting him with the responsibility of serving the land of Kakatpur. He confidently stated that he would emerge victorious and would work toward building a prosperous Kakatpur.
The bike rally, accompanied by traditional drums, trumpets, and DJ music, created a vibrant atmosphere as it traveled from Astaranga to Puri. BJD workers appeared highly enthusiastic and energetic throughout the journey.
