Inauguration of Antyodaya Housing Scheme in Kukudakhandi Block
Kukudakhandi, 30/03/2025 (Epili Purnachandra): The Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the Antyodaya Housing Scheme from Kalahandi. Around 50,000 beneficiaries will be covered under this scheme. Each beneficiary will receive ₹1.2 lakh for house construction, and if the house is completed within the stipulated time, an additional ₹20,000 will be granted by the government. Applications will be accepted online for this scheme.
The scheme will benefit the poor, differently-abled individuals, widows, people with chronic illnesses, families of martyrs, Padma Shri awardee families, and those affected by fire accidents.
This scheme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister on Sunday in Kalahandi. The program was also broadcast virtually in the Kukudakhandi Block premises. The event at the block level was conducted by Block Group Development Officer Dr. Pallavi Swain. The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony before Lord Jagannath by the invited guests.
As the chief guest, Block Vice-Chairperson Bishnupriya Patra attended and distributed work orders to 153 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme.
During the work order distribution, Assistant Executive Engineer Anurag Rath, Kukudakhandi Sarpanch Bandana Sethy, Bantapalli Sarpanch Kamini Nayak, Sihala Sarpanch Gauri Gouda, Balipada Sarpanch Jhili Sethy, Baghalathi Sarpanch Mami Sasmala, Jagdalpur Sarpanch Kanti Kumari Devi, Baulajholi Sarpanch Chittaranjan Bishoyi, Dengapadar Sarpanch Laxmi Mahakud, Dakshinpur representative Debashish Sethy, Baulajholi Samiti Member Representative Sanatan Sangram Singh, along with other sarpanches, panchayat representatives, government officials, and a large number of local citizens were present.
