ACC Jagatsinghpur Reaches Final as Second Team After Defeating Mancheswar
Kakatpur, 5/3 – In the second semi-final of the state-level cricket tournament organized by Maa Tarini Sporting Club of Astarang at the nearby Chaudhury Stadium, a match was held on Sunday between Mancheswar Bhubaneswar and ACC Jagatsinghpur.
ACC Jagatsinghpur won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 158 runs, losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Mancheswar Bhubaneswar, chasing a target of 159 runs, could only manage 150 runs, losing all wickets within the 20 overs, thereby losing the match by 8 runs.
From the ACC side, S. R. Senapati scored a personal 58 runs and was declared the Man of the Match. The match was officiated by umpires Suresh Tripathy and Ramaranjan Mohanty, with Kumar Bapi serving as the third umpire. Deepak Das and Rakesh Mohanty provided live commentary of the match.
Distinguished guests for the second semi-final included Maa Laxmi Club President Pramod Das, journalist Sarat Parida, and Saroj Kumar Pradhan, owner of Digital House. They presented the Man of the Match award to the winner.
The match was managed under the leadership of organizing club president Manoj Bishwal, sports editor Sameer Kumar Kar, advisors Niranjan Das and Dillip Das, and vice president Sanjay Pradhan.
The grand final will be held on Saturday, between ACC Jagatsinghpur and MCC Jagatsinghpur, along with a spectacular cultural program to conclude the event.
