International Coach Rajkishore Receives Warm Welcome in Puri

Rajkishore Pattnaik of Puri, who recently participated as the coach of the Indian women’s softball team in the Asian University Women’s Softball Asia Cup held in Taichung and Taipei cities of Taiwan, has returned to Puri today. The tournament was held from October 15 to October 19. Although the Indian team gave an impressive performance during the event, they unfortunately missed out on winning a medal.
Under the direct supervision and guidance of coach Rajkishore Pattnaik, the Indian women’s team performed commendably. Upon his return today, Rajkishore was warmly welcomed at the railway station in Puri. Senior and junior players of the Puri Softball Association gathered at the station and greeted him with flower garlands to honor his achievements.
During the tournament, the Indian team competed against strong teams from Japan, Singapore, China, the Philippines, and Korea. Rajkishore successfully fulfilled his role as the head coach during these matches. It is noteworthy that Rajkishore had previously served as the coach of the Indian men’s team during a tournament in Singapore in 2014.
A dedicated and well-known figure in the Puri Softball Association, Rajkishore is not only a hardworking athlete but also a certified national-level softball referee. At the railway station, several key members of the district softball association were present to welcome him, including Secretary Ranjan Rath, Ashok Mohanty, Biranchi Narayan Pattnaik, Amiya Prasad Nag, Manoj Pradhan, Saurabh Rath, Sucharita Pattnaik, and Jyoti Das.
