Certificate and New Belt Distribution Ceremony Organized by Buddhist Taekwondo Academy

This year, under the auspices of the Odisha Taekwondo Association, a three-day State-Level Taekwondo Championship was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack from August 30 to September 1, 2024.
In this state-level Taekwondo competition, more than 800 boys and girls participated in both Kyorugi and Poomsae events.
From Puri alone, over 200 participants took part in the competition, with around 60+ boys and girls representing the Buddhist Taekwondo Academy.
The players from the Buddhist Taekwondo Academy gave an outstanding performance and brought recognition and honor to both their academy and Puri district.
Hence, on the evening of November 19, 2024, a special certificate and belt distribution ceremony was organized, with former wrestler and devoted servant of Lord Jagannath, Shri Bhagwan Supakar, invited as the chief guest. Shri Stalin Parija, Secretary of the State Biju Yuva Janata Dal, was invited as the guest of honor.
In addition, Shri Manmohan Bhanja, General Secretary, and Shri Byomkesh Abhilash Prasad, President of the Odisha Taekwondo Association, were also present at the event.
During the ceremony, the state-level participants and other athletes from the Buddhist Taekwondo Academy were felicitated and honored with certificates and new belts by the chief guest and the guest of honor.
Academy’s Head Coach Shri Bishwanath Nayak expressed that such programs greatly motivate and inspire the athletes to perform even better in the future.
