National Science Day Celebrated
Astaranga – National Science Day 2023 was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday at Janata High School, Bantilo, under Astaranga Block in Puri district. The event was held under the chairmanship of the school’s Headmaster-in-Charge, Santosh Kumar Parida.
Senior teacher Chittaranjan Bishwal, science teacher Sridhar Kumar Sahu, and Ajit Raut highlighted the significance and objectives of National Science Day. The speakers discussed the revolutionary discoveries in modern material science made by Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. They emphasized how his contributions demonstrated the potential to reach great heights through minimal expenditure, scientific knowledge, and innovative research.
The speakers described Raman’s efforts as both thought-provoking and inspiring. They also explained the importance of science in daily life and shared valuable guidance with the students in attendance.
Earlier in the program, students who had excelled in various competitions were awarded by the school for their achievements.
