Teacher Govind Chandra Pradhan Honored with ‘Prakruti Bandhu’ Award
On the occasion of the district-level World Environment Day celebration, Shri Govind Chandra Pradhan, an assistant teacher at Parahat Upper Primary School, was honored with the Prakruti Bandhu award. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Sports Minister, Shri Tusharkanti Behera, along with a citation and a cash prize of ₹10,000.
Govind Chandra Pradhan, assistant teacher at Parahat Upper Primary School under Satyabadi block, received the Prakruti Bandhu award in recognition of his environmental efforts. Along with the award, he was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of ₹10,000.
The residents of Parahat village and the Satyabadi Teachers’ Association have extended their best wishes to Mr. Pradhan. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradhan shared that there was unused space within the school premises. By collecting saplings from various places and with the cooperation of fellow teachers, students, the school management committee, former students, and local villagers, they were able to transform the area into a mini forest.
He humbly added that the recognition he received was made possible solely due to the collective efforts dedicated to the betterment of the school.
