BJP’s Vikas Rath Flagged Off from Maa Mangala Shrine and Gherao of Katakana Panchayat Office by BJP
Kakatpur, 28/8 – A “Vikas Rath” (development chariot) has been flagged off from the powerful Maa Mangala Shrine to spread the message of nine years of good governance and development under India’s esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This rath will travel through every ward of each panchayat in the Kakatpur constituency, aiming to create public awareness.
The event was attended by BJP leaders including Kakatpur constituency in-charge Sudarshan Swain, former MLA candidate Ishwar Behera, senior leader Sarbeshwar Mallik, Lataharan Mandal President Saroj Mishra, Nuagaon Mandal President Galekh Pradhan, former Zilla Parishad member Adhikari Behera, Kakatpur constituency vistaraka Gopinath Gajapati Bhuya, senior workers Prasanna Behera and Manas Raut, along with over a hundred BJP workers. They performed rituals at the Maa Mangala Temple before flagging off the Vikas Rath.
Following the rath ceremony, BJP workers from the Katakana Panchayat organized a motorbike rally and gheraoed the panchayat office to protest against corruption and misgovernance by the state government. The rally also aimed to raise public awareness at the local level.
The meeting, chaired by Lataharan Mandal President Saroj Mishra, saw participation from former MLA Baidhar Mallik, State Mahila Morcha Secretary Rajalaxmi Dash, District Executive Member Mangala Prasad Samantaray, and others, who strongly criticized the anti-people policies of the state government.
Other notable attendees who coordinated the program included youth leader Manoj Das from Katakana, Ramesh Muduli, Tarakeswar Biswal, Bijay Biswal, Ranjan Muduli, Manas Ojha, Sanjay Sahu, Ramesh Sahu, Jayanta Chand, and Soumya Ranjan Chand.
