Sakhigopal Temple Cleaned by Athletes Ahead of Janmashtami
The grand festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated at the Sakhigopal Temple on September 6. On this auspicious day, thousands of devotees are expected to visit the temple for darshan.
Keeping in mind the large gathering of devotees, students of the prominent local sports organization, Satyavadi Athletic Gurukul, organized a temple-cleaning drive today. The young athletes took the initiative to clean various parts of the Sakhigopal Temple, including the sanctum sanctorum, Kalahat Dwara, Navagraha Dwara, Jagamohan, temple premises, Ganesh Temple, Singh Dwara, Jay-Vijay, lion statues, Padaprakshalan (foot-washing area), Khatani Rosaghara (temple kitchen), and brass gates.
The cleaning effort was supported and supervised by Satyavadi Gurukul Athletic President Bishnu Prasad Mishra, international para-athlete Jayanti Behera, physiotherapist Dr. Kajal Goel, temple executive officer Bishwas Tripathy, senior servitor Kishore Chandra Mahapatra, supervisor Bishwanath Mahapatra, and sevayat Singhari Alok Khuntia, along with other temple servitors.
