Shri Krishna Janmotsav–2023 Inaugurated at Sakhigopal
The three-day-long Shri Krishna Janmotsav was inaugurated on Tuesday evening in front of the Singhadwar (main gate) of the famous Sakhigopal Temple. The spiritual and cultural event, organized by the Shri Sakhigopal Sevayat Sangha, was officially opened by the chief guest, Satyavadi Tahasildar Jayanta Kumar Jayasingh, who lit the ceremonial lamp. He announced that the Sakhigopal Temple premises, including the front area and the Bakulban, would soon be beautified and made more attractive.
Guest of honor, Satyavadi Panchayat Samiti Chairman Sunil Panda, highlighted the spiritual significance, heritage, and dedicated service rooted in Satyavadi’s culture, and wished for collective support in its development.
Another notable guest, Temple Executive Officer Bishwawasi Tripathy, emphasized that servitors and the administration are two sides of the same coin and assured that the administration would work closely with servitors to resolve any difficulties or shortcomings they may face.
Presiding over the event, Sevayat Sangha President Shrivatsa Mahapatra shared that the organization has now entered its 75th year as a dedicated volunteer body. The event was conducted by the Sangha’s Secretary, Bijay Kumar Nanda.
Artists performed various cultural acts including Odissi, Sambalpuri, devotional dance, and music. A major highlight was the vibrant Gotipua dance performance presented by the artists of the Brahmagiri Srushti Gotipua Nrutya Parishad, which captivated the audience.
