Tribute to Utkalmani at Srikshetra
Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das was one of the prominent figures among the five companions of the modern era. He made significant contributions to the formation of a separate Odisha state.
Today, on Monday, marking the 146th birth anniversary of the great soul Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das, a tribute gathering was organized under the leadership of State President Shri Jitendra Mahapatra on behalf of the leading social organization “Apananka Sebare.”
In the early morning, members of the organization paid floral tributes at various locations in the city where statues of Utkalmani Gopabandhu are situated, and his memories were fondly remembered.
On this occasion, a signature campaign was also launched in front of the Singhadwara, demanding a posthumous Bharat Ratna for Utkalmani for his sacrifices and dedicated service to society.
Senior mentor of the organization Shri Manoj Rath, State General Secretary Chittaranjan Bishwal, State Vice President Bijay Krishna Brahma, State Spokesperson and Media In-charge Jagadish Pradhan, Puri District Secretary Biranchi Narayan Mishra, Gopinath Sahu, eminent children’s writer Sukanta Panda, Krushnachandra Mishra, Debanand Mishra, Arjun Maharana, Manoj Mishra, Chandan Brahma, Sulekha Mishra, Anupama Kar, Mita Barik, Satyanarayan Jena, Akhandala Mahapatra, Binod Senapati, Ranjulata Sabat, and others conducted and participated in this program.
