146th State-Level Birth Anniversary of Acharya Harihar Das Celebrated
The 146th state-level birth anniversary of Acharya Harihar Das was celebrated at his birthplace, Shriramchandrapur, in collaboration with the Odisha Sahitya Akademi and Acharya Yuva Parishad. On this occasion, a speech competition based on the life of Acharya Harihar was conducted among students, followed by the distribution of prizes.
In the evening, a literary session was conducted by poet Rabindranath Sharangi. The event began with a silent prayer in remembrance of the former president of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi and prominent literary figure Sātkadi Hotā, who recently passed away.
During the event, poets from the Satyabadi region such as Ranjan Mishra, Bishakha Devi, Rabindranath Sharangi, Bijaya Parida, Rashmi Ranjan Sahu, Anusuya Kandi, Krupanidhi Pradhan, Snehashraddha Pradhan, Sampurnananda Mishra, Bandana Mahapatra, Upendra Maharana, and Abhaya Kumar Sahu recited their self-composed poems in memory of Acharya Harihar.
Sanjay Kumar Chhuansingh delivered the welcome address. The commemorative session was inaugurated by distinguished literary figure Purnendu Kumar Das. Eminent literary scholar Upendra Prasad Nayak attended as the chief guest, while renowned litterateur Trinath Hota was the guest of honour. Noted storyteller Ravi Panda, Pratima Rani Mishra Sharangi, and Professor Brundaban Chandra Rath were also present and shared their reflections on the life and contributions of Acharya Harihar.
The program was conducted under the chairmanship of literary personality Satyabadi Das.
President of Acharya Yuva Parishad, Ajit Kumar Rath; Secretary Manas Prasad Tripathi; along with Prabhakar Tripathi, Saurabh Nanda, Tapan Kumar Tripathi, Subrata Nanda, Akhila Mishra, Divya Ranjan Dash, Nalini Mishra, Binayak Shatapathi, Ashutosh Tripathi, and Pavitra Mishra actively participated and contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
