Grand Welcome to Prachi Pilgrimage Padayatra Delegation in Kakatpur
Kakatpur, 03/03/2024:
To raise awareness among the general public about the spiritual and historical significance of the sacred Prachi River, and to demand its restoration from degradation, the Prachi Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad has initiated the 13th Prachi Pilgrimage Padayatra under the guidance of Paramahansa Prajnanananda Giri Maharaj. This pilgrimage began on Thursday from the renowned Kapileshwar Shaiva Peetha in the Prachi river valley.
Today, as the Padayatra delegation reached Kakatpur, they were given a grand welcome by the Kakatpur Citizens’ Forum and the Kakatpur Press Club. Club President Kamal Lochan Dixit, Vice President Tushar Ranjan Dixit, and Bhagabat Swain welcomed the pilgrims with pure drinking water and fruits.
The pilgrims visited the revered Maa Mangala Temple for darshan, and then proceeded to Deuli Matha, where they offered prayers to Prachi Saraswati and performed the Prachi Aarti.
This sacred journey saw the participation of several prominent spiritual leaders and saints including Mahant Chintamani Parbat, Ram Krishna Das from Radha Ballabha Matha, Babaji Damodar Das from Nua Matha, Babaji Ram Das, Baba Satyananda Das, Baba Dinabandhu Das, Sudhananda Giri, Jagannath Das, Mahant Trilochan Das, Samarpanananda Giri, and Pandit Chittaranjan Mishra, Secretary of the Vedic Brahmin Parishad. They were also joined by Durga Charan Mishra, Madhabananda Bishwal, and monks and brahmacharis from the Kriya Yoga Ashram.
Adding a global touch to the pilgrimage, several foreign women devotees also participated in the Padayatra, reflecting the growing international interest in India’s spiritual heritage.
