Special Recognition for Dancer Chirasrota Khuntia of Satyabadi Sangeet Mahavidyalaya

Chirasrota Khuntia, a dancer from Satyabadi Music College under Satyabadi block in Puri district, has received the prestigious “B High Grade” recognition.
Chirasrota is a disciple of Guru Lingaraj Swain. With over 30 years of relentless dedication to the art of dance, she has been climbing one milestone after another. The “B High Grade” recognition, awarded by Prasar Bharati and Doordarshan Kendra, marks yet another success in her artistic journey.
It is known that dance recordings from various centers across India were submitted for evaluation and promotion. From July 8 to August 28, 2024, auditions were held at the Doordarshan Directorate in New Delhi, during which the Central Dance Audition Board reviewed the submissions. Based on the Board’s decision, 37 dancers were selected. Among them, Chirasrota Khuntia brought honor to both Satyabadi Music College and the name of Satyabadi.
Chirasrota has credited this achievement to her dance guru, Lingaraj Swain, and has expressed her deep gratitude to him. Guru Lingaraj Swain wished her continued success in all aspects of life. Fellow dancers and artists from Satyabadi Music College have also expressed great joy over Chirasrota’s accomplishment.
