Utkal Dibasa Celebrated in Poland
Brahmapur, 01/04/2025 (Epili Purnachandra) – Utkal Dibasa was celebrated with great grandeur by the Odia diaspora in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. Odia brothers and sisters residing in various parts of Poland participated in the event and sang the patriotic anthem “Bande Utkala Janani.” On this occasion, several cultural programs were organized with the aim of promoting Odia cuisine, culture, and art on the global stage.
The celebration was organized by the registered Odia organization in Europe, Odia Foundation of Poland. The chief guest at the event was Indian Ambassador to Poland, Nagna Mohammad Mallik, who attended the celebrations. Also present was Satyashree Lal, Counsellor and Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy, overseeing Press, Information, Culture, and Education.
A special highlight of the event was a performance of Odissi dance by Polish native Ms. Zofia Lichota. Additionally, Odia women living abroad performed classical Odissi dance and traditional Odia songs, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.
