Cow Worship Festival and Saint Congregation
Kakatpur, 22/11:
At the Shreerampur Radha Krishna Temple under the Kakatpur Block, the 8th annual cow worship and saint congregation was celebrated in a grand atmosphere on the occasion of Gopashtami, under the guidance of Antaryami Behera (Tapibaba). After the cow worship and felicitation led by women, saints who had arrived from Puri were honored with shawls and flower bouquets, followed by a grand procession that circled the village and concluded near the temple. There, the saints spoke about the significance of Gopashtami and described the divine pastimes of Radha and Krishna. Devotees received blessings from the saints. More than a thousand devotees participated in the festival and partook in the sacred feast (prasada). The event was organized with the cooperation of Babaji Nayak, Dharmananda Subuddhi, Sangram Behera, and the local villagers.
