Shri Ramcharit Manas Navahn Parayan Begins in Puri
Puri: As in every year, on the occasion of Basantik Navaratri, the Shri Ram Sunderkand Satsang Parivar has commenced the nine-day recitation of the Shri Ramcharit Manas (Navahn Parayan) at the Sunderkand Bhavan premises located on Gopal Ballav Road, Puri.
As part of the event, spiritual episodes like Shiva’s wedding, Shri Ram’s birth, Shri Ram’s wedding, and the grief-stricken exile of Shri Ram were emotionally narrated through devotional music by Pandit Bishnucharan Panda. His heartfelt rendition deeply moved the audience.
Devotees present at the event were seen overwhelmed with devotion, their eyes filled with tears. This year’s Parayan has been dedicated to the memory of the late Rajat Kumar Pratihari, a senior servitor of the Shrimandir.
The event saw the presence of several notable personalities, including Gangadhar Panda, principal of Shri Jagannath Rashtriya Adarsh Veda Vidyalaya; Pandit Nityananda Kar, an NRI scholar; Savita Pati, Balaram Mishra, Dillip Panda (priest of Baba Hattakeshwar, Atri, Khordha); former administrative officer Bijay Sahu, Geetanjali Sahu, Truptimayee Pratihari, Harekrushna Pratihari, Ranjit Mekap and Diptimayee Mekap of the Kothari family; Jyotirmayee Patri, Bhimasen Patri, Gobinda Patra, and Tatan Adhya, among others.
