Good News for Journalists: Gopabandhu Scheme Applications Now Available Online
Satyabadi (Saswat TV Bureau) – In a major development for journalists, the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Odisha, will soon launch a dedicated program enabling working journalists in approved media houses to register under the Gopabandhu Health Insurance Scheme through an online application system.
According to received information, the registration process is expected to begin in the first week of June. For the first time this year, journalists will be able to apply online through a web-based application system. After the concerned department receives the generated module for this initiative, complete information and instructions will be communicated to journalists.
To complete the application process, journalists will need to fill out the form and upload necessary documents. These include a valid press identity card, an appointment letter from their editor or media organization, voter ID, Aadhaar card, school certificate, passport-size photo, and proof of educational qualifications.
This advance notice is being issued to help journalists prepare their documents ahead of the official launch of the application process.
