The date for the second phase of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been revised. As per a notification issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on the 11th, the exam that was originally scheduled to be held on June 23 will now be conducted on July 1.
Along with this change, the application process has begun for candidates who have completed their Postgraduate B.Ed. The application window opened on June 12 and will remain active until June 16.
It is worth noting that the Board had previously invited applications for the second phase of OTET in October last year. The announcement of the exam date after such a long delay had brought relief and happiness to many aspirants. However, following the postponement, a few candidates expressed dissatisfaction and even tweeted to the authorities requesting that the date not be changed. Despite that, the revised date has now been officially declared.
The exam holds significant importance for the aspirants, especially as the State Government is planning to recruit around 20,000 junior teachers in the near future.
